My Weight Watchers meals.

As you all know I have been trying to loose weight. And let me say again that WW just rocks. I can still eat what I want just of course in portion control. I am posting a few pictures of my meals from Gina Skinny Weight Watchers blog.

Sept 23, 2009 Dinner

This was 3.3 oz of flank steak for 4 points I believe. The rice you see here was worth 4.25 for a cup but I only served myself 1/2 cup so less points. To make it more filling and for me to not feel hungry an hour later I made the salad that Gina had posted on her blog. So total for this meal was  about 6points roughly give and take.

September 24, 2009 Dinner
This was what Gina calls "Huevos Pericos". I am mexican and we call these "Huevos a la Mexicana". I altered her recipe a little. I used onions, tomatoes, and chiles serranos. The same amount of eggs she has on her blog but just a little bit of different vegetable and same amount of points.  3points for 2 servings. Also since I am Mexican Huevos are not Huevos without a tortilla. So I had 3 Tortillas each tortilla is worth 1 point. So my whole dinner was worth 6 points not bad at all.

Oh and I have to say that I have lost already just by being on the WW 8 lbs. I have been loosing about 1 lb a week (give and take) only because I am just doing the diet and no exercise. But I think once I start getting my lazy but out to the gym I will loose more. I have been on it for roughly about less than 7weeks.
I weighed myself today and I am at 159.6. I am so happy I have not seen those digits in quite some time. I hope they keep going down. Just an update for you of who keep up with my blog.

Turkey Taco Lettuce Wrap

I am posting one of my favorite recipes that we found from this great lady's blog I have already posted one of her recipes previously but this is my favorite recipe so far: Turkey Taco Lettuce Wraps.

Hope you enjoy my postings as I will continue to post more recipes from my findings and Shannon's findings...lol.

New lifestyle

I have decided about a month ago that I am trying to get healthy. For one my body is not young and can't take the beating it use to with all the junk food I use to eat back in the days. Now if I have a freaken piece a cake well we all know where it goes ...straight to my thighs or my damn pudgy stomach...lol. So I have decided that I am not going to stop eating everything I want. I can still have my sweets and an occassional eating out. But I just do have to watch what I eat.
I have a friend who does weight watchers and I watch her lil girl while she goes to meetings. I asked her to explain to me the whole Weight Watchers to me and how it works and well would it really be worth it for me that I have struggled with my weight for years.

After she started I decided that maybe I'd just watch my points but not sign up persay. About a month ago I weighed myself and I weighed 168 which it has about the norm for the past year give or take. I started watching what I ate and keeping track of my points and my friend has helped me out a lot at what I eat and I don't go out to eat like I use to so that has also helped. But lets fast foward to now and I still can't believe because as long as she has been going I have been keeping track of my points as well. And I am down to 161 lbs. I have tried all sorts of diets and all sorts of work out videos and they had never worked out for me. But I have to say that WW is for me and I am actually going to sign up with them and see how that goes and I hope that I continue to progress and loose weight. I would love to post a pic of myself of my before and after but I will not do it till later on down the road when I have accomplished my goal. But I just wanted to share my story with my friends of actually how Hawaii has helped me out and took me this long to find a good recipe for me to loose weight and it is Weight Watchers.

Voila Dinner is Served

Today I decided to try a new recipe. My friend Shannon is an addict to blogs...lol. At nights when she can't sleep she just searches for blogs. So on one of her sleepless nights she found Gina's weight watcher Recipes a great site.
Our group of friends have all fallen in love with this site. All her recipes are Weight Watcher (WW) recipes or like Weight Watchers.  Even the Baked potatoe was from her site.

I was at my friend Jess's house last night and she made it and oh my god it was to die for. So I had to have it tonight for dinner.
                                                                Voila Dinner is served!
