Pumpkin Patch ....

We went today to the Pumpkin Patch. Let me start off by saying..."What the hell was I thinking." It was ridiculously hot out there today. It was like 100 degree weather and we are out there in the blazin sun trying to find a freaken pumpkin when all we had to do was go to the Commissary where it is nice and air conditioned...lol. But oh well I guess it's all about the experience. The girls had fun for the firt 20 minutes and then they were ready to go home and thirsty. My dumb butt forgot to walk out there in the field with water. Luckily I had juices in the truck so when we got back they had a snack and juice and they were happy to be resting in their nice air conditioned truck...lol. It was nice to go out there to bad we are not where it is nice and cold and all we have to do is just put on jackets and run till we get all warmed up. Oh well we shall soon be on the mainland where we can hopefully experience the pumpkin patch the way it is suppose to be experienced. So these are just a few pictures of the girls hope you enjoy them.

Ghost Footprints...

These were the girls art project that we did today. We are getting ready for Halloween so we went back to a good ole faithful blog that I just love. We found this art project from this site.
The girls love to do art projects so I decided I'd have them do this one that was easy for them to do themselves of course with a little of mommy's help. So I just wanted to share this with the people that follow my blog. I hope you enjoy and the directions you can find by clicking on her site. We will be doing more Halloween projects from her site and other sites until Halloween gets here. Hope you will follow us and enjoy my girls art.

This past weekend....

was the busiest weekend ever. We had two parties to attend this past weekend. The girls of course enjoyed it due to all the cake and treats they got. We had Blake's party on Saturday and then Sunday was Ian's birthday. The girls had nice art projects that they were able to bring home with them and enjoy. I loved the painting they did at Blake's party. I don't have any pics at the moment but will post some at a later time. Then at Ian's birthday party they brought home the project to do. It was as you can see in the following pictures crowns that they design themselves. Atiana loved her crown she loved it so much she went to sleep with it...lol.

Allana also loved her crown as you can see her just chillin at home with it on watching tv with Daddy to the side. The girls just love doing art projects. It helps them stay busy and not get into stuff that they are not suppose to...lol. So I do try to keep them occupied as much as possible when I am not being lazy that is of course :).

Atiana showing off her crown with her sunglasses.

Atiana again showing off her crown.

Allana not ready for the pic as you can see she was not smiling.

For my people....

trying to loose weight. I highly recommend you follow Gina's blog. Her recipes are to die for. If you are really interested in loosing weight this is the way to go. She makes her recipes weight watcher friendly for those of us who are on weight watchers. This is where I get all my recipes from. I never thought I could loose weight by eating such flavorful food but let me say you can just watch your portions and that is all to it. I have lost 11lbs by just eating her food...and of course watching what I eat.
Here was tonights dinner.

Hope everyone enjoys it as much as I am enjoying trying Gina's food.

My Weight Watchers meals.

As you all know I have been trying to loose weight. And let me say again that WW just rocks. I can still eat what I want just of course in portion control. I am posting a few pictures of my meals from Gina Skinny Weight Watchers blog.

Sept 23, 2009 Dinner

This was 3.3 oz of flank steak for 4 points I believe. The rice you see here was worth 4.25 for a cup but I only served myself 1/2 cup so less points. To make it more filling and for me to not feel hungry an hour later I made the salad that Gina had posted on her blog. So total for this meal was  about 6points roughly give and take.

September 24, 2009 Dinner
This was what Gina calls "Huevos Pericos". I am mexican and we call these "Huevos a la Mexicana". I altered her recipe a little. I used onions, tomatoes, and chiles serranos. The same amount of eggs she has on her blog but just a little bit of different vegetable and same amount of points.  3points for 2 servings. Also since I am Mexican Huevos are not Huevos without a tortilla. So I had 3 Tortillas each tortilla is worth 1 point. So my whole dinner was worth 6 points not bad at all.

Oh and I have to say that I have lost already just by being on the WW 8 lbs. I have been loosing about 1 lb a week (give and take) only because I am just doing the diet and no exercise. But I think once I start getting my lazy but out to the gym I will loose more. I have been on it for roughly about less than 7weeks.
I weighed myself today and I am at 159.6. I am so happy I have not seen those digits in quite some time. I hope they keep going down. Just an update for you of who keep up with my blog.

Turkey Taco Lettuce Wrap

I am posting one of my favorite recipes that we found from this great lady's blog I have already posted one of her recipes previously but this is my favorite recipe so far: Turkey Taco Lettuce Wraps.

Here is my picture of my own.
Hope you enjoy my postings as I will continue to post more recipes from my findings and Shannon's findings...lol.

New lifestyle

I have decided about a month ago that I am trying to get healthy. For one my body is not young and can't take the beating it use to with all the junk food I use to eat back in the days. Now if I have a freaken piece a cake well we all know where it goes ...straight to my thighs or my damn pudgy stomach...lol. So I have decided that I am not going to stop eating everything I want. I can still have my sweets and an occassional eating out. But I just do have to watch what I eat.
I have a friend who does weight watchers and I watch her lil girl while she goes to meetings. I asked her to explain to me the whole Weight Watchers to me and how it works and well would it really be worth it for me that I have struggled with my weight for years.

After she started I decided that maybe I'd just watch my points but not sign up persay. About a month ago I weighed myself and I weighed 168 which it has about the norm for the past year give or take. I started watching what I ate and keeping track of my points and my friend has helped me out a lot at what I eat and I don't go out to eat like I use to so that has also helped. But lets fast foward to now and I still can't believe because as long as she has been going I have been keeping track of my points as well. And I am down to 161 lbs. I have tried all sorts of diets and all sorts of work out videos and they had never worked out for me. But I have to say that WW is for me and I am actually going to sign up with them and see how that goes and I hope that I continue to progress and loose weight. I would love to post a pic of myself of my before and after but I will not do it till later on down the road when I have accomplished my goal. But I just wanted to share my story with my friends of actually how Hawaii has helped me out and took me this long to find a good recipe for me to loose weight and it is Weight Watchers.

Voila Dinner is Served

Today I decided to try a new recipe. My friend Shannon is an addict to blogs...lol. At nights when she can't sleep she just searches for blogs. So on one of her sleepless nights she found Gina's weight watcher Recipes a great site.
Our group of friends have all fallen in love with this site. All her recipes are Weight Watcher (WW) recipes or like Weight Watchers.  Even the Baked potatoe was from her site.

I was at my friend Jess's house last night and she made it and oh my god it was to die for. So I had to have it tonight for dinner.

Muffin Tin Mondays

Muffin Tin Monday at Her Cup Overfloweth

One of my good friends found another great blog. This blog is about being creative with the foods kids eat. I decided to try this and give it a go at Muffin Tin Mondays. We are trying to incoprate these to our routine of the week. So we decided that today we were going to follow the theme of this week "Circus".  I am also posting a picture of what we actually decided to do for our Circus theme.
So this is what we ended up coming up with our circus theme. Corn dog, popcorn, animal crackers and french fries ( but they are really apple slices a good friend gave me this idea. Ty Shannon).
Allana enjoying her muffin tin monday lunch.
Atiana enjoying her lunch muffin tin monday.

We also started to learn our ABC's. They already know them but we decided to go over them again before they start Kinder next year. I want them to be ready and so I am going in depth with them on their ABC's I am putting a picture of what they did today.

Art Project of the Day

Thanks to Shannon and her sleepless nights found this wonderful blog " Just For Fun."

So I have decided to have the girls do some projects from her site. I have found some art projects for the girls to do. So today we decided to do one that I just thought was adorable. One that the girls could actually do and not throw a fit about what they don't want to do or they stop half way through the project. This one was just perfect. I am so thankful to Sandy for sharing her art projects she does with her kids. I will post a link to her site to give credit where credit is definitely due. I love her site and for those of you with lil ones you will definitely love her site.

Here are a few pics and the final product.

I know I know I had promised these pics a long time ago. But with the move, school, and family in town I really had not had time to get around to take pics and I am still not done. But decided to post just a few pics that I have taken of the new house. All these are in the upstairs and the girls room I have just not been able to get their room ready. It's a working progress at the moment.
It's military housing so don't be to surpised it is not all that...lol. So here yall go...

***Still to come is the girls rooms they are under construction at the moment. So as soon as I get them all organized all pretty I will upload them. ****

Ballet

I decided to register the girls in ballet after them wanting to attend ballet classes. Atiana actually even cried the other day because she wanted to go to school already. So I went and registered them. And I just wanted to update everyone on what the girls looked like on their first day of ballet.

Allana and Atiana on their first day of Ballet Class.

They just loved it and they were natural ballerinas. I thought they were going to be like mommy and not have no darn rhythm. But nope they jumped right on in there and did every move the instructor showed them. I am so proud of my little girls and sad at the same time that they are growing up so fast.

Well until next time my friends and family this is it for now.

Windward Side Adventure...

So we woke up today and just all of a sudden I decided to take the In laws to the other side of the island. I actually was trying to avoid going to the gym and could not think of anything to do until it hit me take the in laws to the other side since they did not go last time they were here. Oh I have to say we just fell in love with that side of the island. It is so peaceful just take a look at our drive .... this is what it looks like on the other side. The drive is so serene... this is more of the country side versus on the side where we currently live is more city. I love this island. I have to say it did take some getting use to since I love to travel and be able to just drive anywhere and at anytime. Here I can only but go to the other side and that is it...:(. I can't say hey I want to drive to the next state there is none of that here. I have to fly off of here if I want to go anywhere and well that is not happening no time soon with the cost of the flights. But anyways let me continue and give ya'll a little more of what it's like living here. We also decided to take pictures of this one island off of Oahu called China's man Hat and well I am sure you all will figure out why it's called, "China Man's Hat"....

After we stopped here at china man's hat we decided to keep going and we got a little hungry and we decided to try one of these famous shrimp trucks that people rave so much about here on the island. So this is where we ended up eating I have to say it was a little expensive $12 a plate unfortunately my dumb self did not take a picture of the plate so you all could have seen what we had to eat. But I enjoyed but MIL and BIL did not so much. They said it was ok I thought it was pretty tastey plus I got the spicy garlic shrimp they were off da chain....lol.

Then again as always we kept trotting along the highway and came to this very nice spot where the waters were super clear as you all can see.

After this we decided to head home it took us literally with stops and all about 3.5 hours to do. I don't think it was bad at all. So this was our adventure for the day I will also provide a link in our families adventures for yall to look at all the pictures we ended up taking. I hope you guys have enjoyed my little stories thus far as much as I am enjoying sharing them with you all.
